Santa Pola has designed a programme for promoting sport: the Competitive Plan for International Sport Tourism. The natural areas, the facilities, the traditions... Good weather, promenades and the smell of the sea air are very attractive reasons for people to practice jogging, cycling, hiking, mountain biking, paragliding or simply walking along the coast along the coast. A modern sailing club and a protected bay invite the visitor to practice windsurfing, kitesurfing, sailing, swimming or sub aqua diving. Since 1990, a date not to be missed is the Santa Pola Half Marathon, which attracts more than 7,000 athletes every January, and this loyalty is also applied to other local sporting events such as the Pepe Bonet Memorial Duathlon.
